The Takacat T340S is a 3.4 m closed-bow inflatable catamaran and Takacat NZ’s most useful “do both” size: a dry, stable tender for a yacht or launch, and the Sport model most often chosen by motorhome and caravan owners. It carries 5 people or 515 kg, weighs about 36 kg, and packs into two carry bags.

For a yacht or powerboat tender.
At 3.4 m you can move a couple plus bags, or a skipper plus guests, without the boat feeling like a toy. Closed bow and large 0.48 m tubes give a drier, more planted ride when you punch out to your boat. It is still light enough to manhandle onto a swim platform or store on deck, and the removable Tube Transom is what makes that pack-down possible if your passage making to Fiji.

For camping, motorhome and fishing.
This is the Sport size to specify when two people will fish or explore most weekends, with occasional extra passengers. Plenty of floor for a chilly bin, tackle and a dog; stable enough to stand and cast; quick enough with 6–9.9 hp (about 10–12 knots on a 6 hp four-stroke with two aboard). Maximum 15 hp if you want more punch. It is a portable boat, so when you cant tow a boat - you can take a boat... inflate at the lake, deflate for the next campsite.

Choose T340S if you want one boat that is credible as both tender and weekend fishing boat.
Step up to T380S if kids, extra mates, p “adventure” setup are the normal load, not the exception.
